Mostly Autumn Biography

Mostly Autumn are an English progressive rock band formed in 1995. Their music takes inspiration from Genesis and Pink Floyd, with additional Celtic and hard rock elements. They have gained recognition through heavy touring.

Early Years

Mostly Autumn started off as a Pink Floyd/70s tribute band, called One Stoned Snowman. After the band’s transformation, many line-up changes occurred. The band released its debut album in 1998, For All We Shared, and a second album one year later, The Spirit of Autumn Past. Moreover, in 2000, they performed with Blackmore’s Night, a popular folk rock band. Therefore, Mostly Autumn gained some exposure and a fan base.

More Popular, Constantly Changing

In 2001, the group released The Last Bright Light and, most noteworthy, received appreciation from Pink Floyd’s Rick Wright. After a long, unstable period and 4 more albums, Mostly Autumn’s eight album came out to critical acclaim. Moreover, Glass Shadows could be pre-ordered as a bundle containing a DVD The Making of Glass Shadows. In 2010, one of the most enduring members, the lead singer Heather Findlay also left the band. Olivia Sparnenn replaced her and, consequently, provided vocals and percussion for Go Well Diamond Heart (2010). In February 2017, the progressive band released its latest album, Sight of Day.
