Grunge Movement Suffers Another Blow – Chris Cornell Died at 52

Grunge pioneer and lead singer of bands Soundgarden and Audioslave, Chris Cornell died unexpectedly at age 52, Wednesday night in Detroit, shortly after his performance, according to a representative of the artist.
In a statement to The Associated Press, Brian Bumbery said that his family and friends are shocked and called the death “sudden and unexpected”. He then added that the family wishes to work closely with a medical examiner to determine the cause and urge fans and media for privacy.
