Grunge pioneer and lead singer of bands Soundgarden and Audioslave, Chris Cornell died unexpectedly at age 52, Wednesday night in Detroit, shortly after his performance, according to a representative of the artist. In a statement to The Associated Press, Brian Bumbery said that his family and friends are shocked and called the death “sudden and unexpected”.
