Young Dolph Biography

Born Adolph Thornton Jr. on August 11, 1985, Young Dolph moved to Memphis Tennessee when he was just two years old.

Early Career

His musical career was born out of tragedy. Surviving a near-death car accident and his grandmother dying made him resort to music as a sentimental discharge.

“I was trying to just tell my story.Music is like art, so I just paint all my pictures and put ’em out there”, he declared for XXL Magazine.

Follow Up

His first mixtape Paper Route Campaign propelled him into the rap scene. Mixtapes like Rich Crack Baby, Gelato and High Class Street Music consolidated his place in the musical world.

Young Dolph’s debut album King of Memphis (2016) was a tremendous success, reaching number 35 on the Billboard Hot 100.
