YFN Lucci is an American rapper, a frequent collaborator with Johnny Cinco and the author of mixtape Wish Me Well.
Early Life
Rayshawn Lamar Bennett was born in Atlanta, Georgia on February 16, 1991. Bennett was raised listening to great rap names like Tupac Shakur, Jay Z, Young Jeezy and Fabolous. At 16 he was convinced by mentor and rapper Johnny Cinco to pursue his dream.
Career
In 2014 he was signed to the Think It’s A Game Entertainment label and issued the mixtape Wish Me Well, followed by Wish Me Well 2 in 2016. Lucci’s first hit was made with the single Key to the Streets featured by Migos and Trouble.
Success
Key to the Streets was number 70 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and mentioned as a top hip-hop song in magazines like XXL and Vibe. The same year Lucci was featured on Meek Mill track You Know. Billboard magazine gave him a shout at as one of the 10 Hip-Hop and R&B Artists to Watch In 2017. In 2017 he released his debut EP called Long Live Nut. The project includes appearances from acts like Rick Ross amongst others.
