Yellow Claw Biography

The group is currently enclosing the members Jim Aasgier (Jim Taihuttu) and Nizzle (Nils Rondhuis).

Early Career

The group started gathering popularity after an Amsterdam party they hosted in 2010. Singles like “Krokobil”, “Thunder” and “Last Night Ever” fortified their freshly gained fame.

Entering the International Scene

Signed to the Mad Decent label, Yellow Claw issued the international EP Amsterdam Trap Music (2013). Next up came the second EP Amsterdam Twerk Music. Firstly distributed by Spinnin’ Records, their label Baron Family was founded in the spring of 2014.

After the singles “Shotgun” and “Pillz”, Yellow Claw released their debut album Blood for Mercy (2015). With tunes like “Roller” and “Higher”, the album reached the 27th place in Netherlands. One of their hits is called “Good Day” and it will be part of the album Los Amsterdam.

Yellow Claw’s single “In My Room” featuring DJ Mustard, Ty Dolla Sign and Tyga placed 12th on the US Dance chart.

Personal View

“It’s great to have people on our team who are really good at all of this so we don’t need to put external people on these projects. We know exactly who we are and what we stand for. We love the process of creating a new video, lots of fun. Of course we’re lucky to have a filmmaker on our team”, Nizzle declared for Pile Rats.
