Trace Adkins (Tracy Darrell Adkins) is an American country music singer and actor from Louisiana.
Trace Adkins Biography
Born Tracy Darrell Adkins on 13 January 1962, he picked up guitar from an early age, encouraged by his father. After dropping out of college, he went on to sing in local bars and then moved to Nashville.
Early Years
Trace topped the charts with the debut album Dreamin’ Out Loud (1996). It enclosed singles like “There’s a Girl in Texas”, “Every Light in the House” and “I Left Something Turned On at Home”. Its success was not shared with the second album. Big Time (1997) only gave away a the top 5 single “The Rest of Mine”.
Further Years
Adkins continued his career with medium successful albums. He was also inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2003. After a handful of tours and concerts, he collaborated with the famous Blake Shelton. Together the two of them issued the single “Hillbilly Bone” in 2009. He issued the album Love Will… in 2013. It peaked at number 14 on the US Billboard 200. Soon after, Trace issued his first Christmas album The King’s Gift. Consolidating his position in the music world, Adkins began hosting his own radio show. It was called SiriusXM.
