Steven Tyler is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, best known as the lead singer of the Boston-based rock band Aerosmith.

Steven Victor Tallarico, professionally known as Steven Tyler, is an American singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist. He is especially famous for being the lead singer of rock band Aerosmith. Tyler is nicknamed the “Demon of Screamin‘” due to his impressive vocal range. He was on top of the world during the 70s and 80s, along with his band. Consequently, Tyler reached Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Singers. Hits like Dream On, Walk This Way and the more recent I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing consecrated him in the rock and heavy metal industry.
Aerosmith
Tyler formed the notorious band during the late 60s. The members all used to share an apartment and started off playing various gigs. In 1972 they signed with Columbia Records. Their first album was mildly successful, even though it included the song Dream On. After 3 years, with the released of their third album Toys in the Attic, the band gained fame and recognition. However, after the massive success came a dark period, as Tyler began using drugs and creating chaos amongst the group. After a devastating hiatus, Aerosmith regained popularity due to the 1988 release Pump. Furthermore, in 1993 they released the album Get a Grip, featuring iconic singles like Livin’ on the Edge, Crying and Crazy.
Solo Career & Life
Being an extremely versatile artist, Steven Tyler picked up many individual projects as well. Most relevant, he worked as a judge on American Idol during 2011. He also performed with numerous other important artists like Alice Cooper, Mötley Crüe, Santana, Pink, Carrie Underwood. He also appeared in some commercials. In 2016, the rockstar released his first solo album, a country music one –We’re All Somebody from Somewhere.The album jumped to number 19 on the Billboard 200 and topped the Country Albums chart. The album features two singles, Love Is Your Name and Red, White & You. During 2016, he reconnected with the other Aerosmith members, for the last tour.
