Sigala Biography
Bruce Fielder, known by his stage name Sigala, is a British DJ and producer from Norfolk. He became famous in 2015, due to his debut single Easy Love, which topped the UK Singles, Dance and Indie charts.
Early Life
Sigala was born in November 1992, in Norwich, Norfolk. He became passionate about music when he was 8 and picked up playing the piano. Furthermore, the young artist has a bachelor’s degree in commercial music. Upon pursuing a musical career Sigala moved to King’s Cross, London.
Music Career
Fielder created his debut single, Easy Love, while drinking a six-pack of tequila flavoured beer, due to the frustration of having to perform yet another mix for a popular artist. The breakthrough hit featured a sample from Jackson 5’s ABC. Moreover, the song received a music video directed by Craig Moore. The song was later officially released by Ministry of Sound and debuted at number 71 in the UK, later even reaching the top of the singles chart.
Following up on that success, Sigala released his second single, in late 2015. Sweet Lovin which peaked at number 3 on the UK singles chart. In 2016, the young artist’s third single, Say You Do, peaked at number 5. It did, however, top the Indie and Dance chart. A few months later, his next single, Give Me Your Love, featuring John Newman, marking a fourth consecutive top 10 song. Additionally, his popularity grew immensely. The British DJ is currently working on his debut studio album.
