Sheryl Crow Biography
Born Sheryl Suzanne Crow on 11 February 1962, she grew up in a music influenced medium. Her father gave piano lessons and her mother played the trumpet. She graduated in music composition, performance, and education.
Early Years
After finishing her studies, Sheryl taught music in an elementary school in Missouri. He meddled with local bands and jingle recordings. Soon followed minor musical appearances such as backing vocals for Michael Jackson and an appearance in the drama Cop Rock in 1990. She tried recording a debut album, but its fate was to remain unreleased. Some cassettes were leaked though and her music circulated the internet.
Breakthrough-Present
Crow’s truly debut album issued in 1993. It peaked at number three on the US Billboard 200. A powerful debut, Tuesday Night Music Club won Crow 3 Grammy Awards. She took home the Record of the Year, Best New Artist and Best Female Vocal Performance. By the start of the 2000s, Sheryl already played at two editions of Woodstock and released another successful album Sheryl Crow (1996).
The artist worked relentlessly on new releases. Her 2005 album Wildflower debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. Feels Like Home (2013) ranked #1 on the UK Country Albums Chart. Sheryl started work for her next album Be Myself, set to release in 2017. The album will feature vocals from Johnny Cash and a collaboration with Keith Richards.
