Jaylen Robinson, known by his stage name Rob Stone, is a young American hip hop recording artist from San Diego, California. He became popular in 2015 due to his debut single Chill Bill, from the mixtape Straight Bummin.
Early Life
As child Jaylen was heavily influenced by his father’s music collection. He used to listen to reggae, hip-hop, and rock. During his high-school years, he began creating music by himself. He was quite emotive and often in trouble. The 21-years old rapper declared it was Wiz Khalifa’s Medicated that which inspired him to become a rapper. The verse “You can be anything you want” is still Rob Stone’s motto.
Music Career
Rob Stone was discovered in 2014, with his controversial song Chill Bill. Ulteriorly, he revealed he wrote it while in a police car. In 2015 he released his debut mixtape and a music video for Chill Bill. In 2016, the young rapper released his emblematic song as a single. It reached top 10 on the Rap and R&B charts and received a platinum certification. Consequently, the song reached US Billboard Hot 100 chart and, over time, even climbed to number 29. Additionally, Rob Stone released a second mixtape, I’m Almost Ready. In May 2017, he will perform at the high-profile music festival Rolling Loud.
