Piso 21 Biography

Piso 21 is a latin pop and reggaeton group formed in 2008, in Medellin Colombia, in a 21-floor building. The line-up consists of vocalists: Juan David Castaño, Pablo Mejia Bermudez and guitarists:
Juan David Huertas (lead), David Escobar(rhythm). The band is very popular in South America and has earned a Latin Grammy nomination in 2012.

Early Years

Piso 21 released an eponymous 13-track album in 2012. It brought them a lot of attention and numerous awards, including a Grammy nomination for “Best New Artist” and a Kid’s Choice nomination for “Best Musical Artist”. Over time, they became popular due to their fresh approach, passion for what they did and mostly, their romantic and catchy songs.

Breakthrough

The group rose to fame by touring intensely in Mexico, Spain, Argentina, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru and others. In 2014, their collaboration with Nicky Jam on the song Suele Seceder marked their first hit single. In 2015, they released 3 singles Hoy, Delicia and Quítate la Pena. One year later, Me Llamas, with Juan Luis Londoño Arias and, a collaboration with Carlos Baute, Ando buscando, came out. Most recently, they gained 86 million views on their video for Me Llamas, featuring Maluma. Additionally, they released the song Besandote, which gained 6 million views in 4 days.
