PartyNextDoor is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer.
PartyNextDoor Biography
Born Jahron Anthony Brathwaite on 3 July 1993, PartyNextDoor signed a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell at 18 years only.
Early Career
His debut mixtape PARTYNEXTDOOR reached number 34 on the TOP R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Next project was to provide background vocals on Drake’s album Nothing Was the Same.
Breakthrough
In July 2014, the artist issued his debut studio album PartyNextDoor Two. It enclosed singles like “Muse”, “Her Way” and “Sex on the Beach”. Following up, the EP PNDColours was released. In 2015 the rapper produced the songs “Legend”, “Preach” and “Wednesday Night Interlude” for Drake.
“I could go to a label where they don’t know how to handle me and they don’t care. Or I’ll have a mentor who’s been through it, who knows exactly what I want to mean to my city and what I want to achieve. They know how to handle your emotions. I’ll have freedom and guidance“, he declared about OVO sound in an interview with RAP-UP.
Success
Jahron co-wrote the songs “Work” and “Sex with Me” for Rihanna’s album Anti. “Work” peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for nine consecutive weeks.
He issued the second studio album PARTYNEXTDOOR 3 in the summer of 2016. It enclosed the singles “Come and See Me” and “Not Nice”. The album debuted at number on the Billboard 200.
