Paramore Biography

Paramore is an American punk-rock band from Tennessee, led by Hayley Williams. They became famous in 2005, due to the release of All We Know Is Falling and its single Pressure. Their second album, Riot! marked their commercial debut. It spawned timeless singles such as Misery Business and crushcrushcrush. In 2009, their album Brand New Eyes reached number 2 on the Billboard 200. The group’s latest, self-titled album came out in 2013. It brought them a Grammy award for the single Ain’t It Fun.

Early Years – Riot!

The band was formed in in Franklin, Tennesse, by Farro brothers and Hayley Williams, who studied at the same school. After adding David and Bynum, the group began to play gigs in early 2004. It took only 6 months for them to be discovered by the famous label Fueled by Ramen. The band released their debut album one year later. All We Know Is Falling was a moderate success, reaching number 30 on the Heatseekers chart. However, it created exposure and the world loved Hayley’s voice.

Highly motivate, Paramore released a second album, Riot!, in 2007. The album received critical acclaim and, furthermore, a platinum certification. It spawned the international hits Misery Business,  crushcrushcrush, and That’s What You Get. After intensive touring, the group began working on their third album. Additionally, they recorded a top 40 single, Decode, for the vampire flick Twilight soundtrack.

Brand New Eyes – Present

During the following period, the group struggled with Hayley’s growing fame, which eclipsed the rest of the group. However, they dispersed the break-up rumours and released the next album. Brand New Eyes became their highest charting album. It generated two popular singles, Ignorance” and The Only Exception. Moreover, in 2011, the punk-rock band released the single Monster, which was included in the Transformers: Dark of the Moon soundtrack. Two years later, Paramore released their latest, eponymous album. It presented a more pop-oriented approach and topped the charts in numerous countries. The singles Still into You and Ain’t It Fun gained platinum certifications.
