Otto Knows completes in a subtle way the Swedish wave of electronic music artists.
Otto Knows Biography
Born Otto Jettman on 6 May 1989, he dreamt of becoming a DJ from an early age. Pursuing his dream, he got to know and befriend Avicii and the members of Swedish House Mafia.
Breakthrough
Otto’s breakthrough was a remix of Imogen Heap’s “Hide and Seek.” After that, he produced the track “Hide & Seek” (Avicii remix) for Tim Berg (Avicii). His successful remixes of Dada’s Life “Kick Out the Epic Motherf**ker” and Burns’ “Lies” finally entered the charts in 2012. One year later, he collaborated with Britney Spears. Otto co-wrote and co-produced her track “Work Bitch.”
Further Career
Jettman released the single “Parachute” in 2014. The song was remixed by DJ’s like Bottai and CamelPhat. Next was a remix of Bebe Rexha’s “I Can’t Stop Drinking About You.” A huge turnaround for his career was a featuring with Lindsey Stirling. Together with her and Alex Aris, he issued the single “Dying for You” in 2016. “With You”, the next single issued in 2017.
“I definitely want people to feel something. The music I make tends to be very emotive and that is important to me. I think we moved into a situation where electronic music lost a lot of soul and meaning. I wanted my contributions to bring that back and also really test the musicality that’s available for us,” Otto declared in an interview with Mix 247 EDM.
