Oh Wonder Biography

Oh Wonder is enclosing the members Josephine Vander Gucht and Anthony West. Both with strong musical backgrounds, the two artists created a gloomy and fresh sound through their project.

A Different Approach

Vander and West started their work in their London apartment. They established a home studio and wrote, recorded and mixed each song there. Since the fall of 2014 until the release of their debut album, they issued a song per month.

“‘All We Do’ was a big thing for us. We wrote it on the eve of New Year’s Eve and it just poured out of us. It was 1 AM and we’d been working all evening, then I sat down at the piano, played, and Ant started singing ‘All we do’ and we wrote it in four minutes. It Just popped out “, declared Josephine for Noisey.

Home-made Fame

Oh Wonder released their self-entitled first album on 4 September 2015. The album was quite an unusual release, regarding the fact that it contained 15 singles. With the ethereal sounds of songs like “Lose It” and “All We Do”, the band’s album reached number 26 on the UK Albums chart. It also hit number 80 on the US Billboard 200.

They teased the new album with its lead single “Ultralife”. The album has the same name as the single and its release date is yet to be announced.
