Missy Elliott Biography

Melissa Arnette “Missy” Elliott is an American female rapper, dancer and producer. After being part of a girl R&B group, she went solo, in 1997, releasing her debut album “Supa Dupa Fly”. It peaked at number 3 on the Billboard 200, a big deal for a female rapper during that time. She rose to fame with the albums “Miss E… So Addictive” (2001), “Under Construction” (2002), and “This Is Not a Test!” (2003), spawning singles such as “Get Ur Freak On” and “Work It”. Additionally, the artist won 5 Grammy Awards and sold over 30 million records in the US.
