Marshmello Biography

Marshmello is an electronic dance music producer and DJ. He was nominated for an International Dance Music Award in 2016, for the category Best Break-Through Artist (Solo).

First Activity

He uploaded his first song “WaVeZ” on his SoundCloud page. After uploading more and more songs, he started to get support from DJs like Skrillex.

In 2016 the artist released the debut album Joytime. It spawned the singles “Keep It Mello” featuring rapper Omar LinX and “Want U 2”. The album reached number 5 on Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart.

Breakthrough

Marshmello was featured for the first time on Monstercat with the song “Alone”. After the release of its music video, he gained 325 million views for this single. He issued the single “Ritual” through Skrillex’s label OWSLA.

In 2017, he collaborated with Noah Cyrus for the single “Chasing Colors” and with Slushii for “Twinbow”.

Who is Marshmello

Although he keeps his identity a secret, it’s considered that Marshmello is DJ Chris Comstock. This fact was not confirmed yet. The hints that may prove this are the fact that both the bucket-DJ and Chris share the same tattoo and birthday. Also, Skrillex called Marshmello “Chris” in an interview.
