Early Life
Brandon Green was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 23, 1988. Right after graduating from the University of Michigan, Brandon moved to Atlanta start his career.
Career Beginnings
Once in Atlanta, Maejor was accepted as songwriter and producer on Ne-Yo’s production company, Compound Entertainment. As a singer, he released his own mixtape called Upside Down in 2010. The project was featured by the likes of Keri Hilson, Trey Song, and Drake.
Success
The same year he was nominated for a Grammy award for his contribution to Trey Songz’s album, followed by another one in 2011 for R&B singer Monica. As a producer, he worked with Justin Bieber and Austin Mahone in 2012. Lights Down Low, Maejor’s single was used as a soundtrack for the Boston Celtics during their NBA playoffs. In addition, he produced Pepsi’s national campaign commercial in 2010 and 2013. After another Justin Bieber producing gig, Maejor collaborated as a singer with Justin and Juicy J for the track Lolly. It reached number 19 on Billboard’s US Hot 100, making it his most successful track. Since then he produced Justin Bieber’s worldwide hit album, Purpose. In March 2017, he unveiled two new non-album singles, Dance and Intuition.
