MadeinTYO is an Atlanta-based hip-hop artist known for his debut single Uber Everywhere.

Early Life

Malcolm Jamaal Davis was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on April 12, 1992, growing up around various military bases where his parents served. Davis and his family moved in America in places like San Diego, Virginia, and Texas. They finally settled in Atlanta, Georgia where he lived with hs older brother, rapper 24hrs.

Career 

His stage name MadeinTYO was acquired after being raised in Tokyo, Japan. In 2015 he released the EP Yokosuka Station and the single I Want. A year later he released the mixtape You Are Forgiven. The first single Uber Everywhere was a hit after it was issued. It entered Billboard Hot 100 and was later certified platinum by RIAA. The track’s music video garnered over 52 million views on YouTube. MadeinTYO revealed the remixed version featured by rapper Travis Scott. The mixtape was re-released on iTunes in August of the same year and reached number 122 on the Billboard 200 chart. Soon followed his album debut with Thank You, Mr. Tokyo. The lead single was revealed as Skateboard P featured by Big Sean.The song was inspired by Pharrell Williams’ nickname. It managed to peak at position 42 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
