Mac Miller Biography
Mac Miller is an American rapper best known for singles like “Donald Trump”, “Stay” and “Dang!”. He also is a self-taught musician, plays piano, guitar, drums and bass.
Early Years
Born Malcolm James McCormick on January 19, 1992, he started thinking seriously about a rap career when he was in high school.
He released his first mixtape But My Mackin’ Ain’t Easy at the age of 15. After singing with the rap group The III Spoken, he issued two mixtapes The Jukebox: Prelude to Class Clown and The High Life. . “…once I found out hip-hop is almost like a job, that’s all I did.”, he said.
The Pittsburgh Boy Goes Big
Miller got a deal with Rostrum Records and signed with them in 2010. Two mixtapes followed up, K.I.D.S. and Best Day Ever. The latter contains the single “Donald Trump” along with tunes like “‘Wear My Hat” and “All Around The World”.
He issued his debut album Blue Slide Park in 2011. Next for Mac was Watching Movies with the Sound Off, the 2013 album that peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Charts and enclosed the single “Goosebumpz”.
After his departure from Rostrum Records, Mac Miller released the third studio album GO:OD AM (2015).The fourth album The Divine Feminine (2016) contains the singles “Dang!” , “We” and “My Favorite Part”.
