Thomas Luther Bryan, known simply as Luke Bryan, is an American country singer and songwriter. His career began around the mid-2000s. Overall, Bryan has sold over 7 million albums and 27 million singles worldwide. His latest album is Kill The Lights, which spawned the hit song Fast.
Early Life & Career
At the age of 19, Luke decided to pursue a music career. However, a family tragedy postponed his musical debut. Later, in 2007, he moved to Nashville and gained some success as a songwriter. Shortly after, he recorded a hit song, All My Friends Say, which reached number 5 on the Hot Country Songs charts. Following that success, he released his debut album I’ll Stay Me, which had 2 popular singles. In 2009, the young singer released Do I, which reached number 2 on the Hot Country Songs charts. Ulteriorly, it was included in his second album, Doin’ My Thing. The album spawned 2 more singles and both of them topped the country music charts.
Breakthrough & Success
In 2011, Bryan released his third studio album Tailgates & Tanlines to critical acclaim. The album peaked at number one on Top Country Albums chart and number two on the Billboard 200. The lead single, County Girl, marked his breakthrough on the Billboard Hot 100. The album offered 3 more successful singles I Don’t Want This Night to End, Drunk on You, and Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye. In 2013, Bryan’s first compilation album, Spring Break…Here to Party topped the Billboard 200. Soon after, he released a fourth album, Crash My Party. All of its singles dominated the country charts. Luke Bryan’s latest album is titled Kill the Lights. Released in 2015, the album sold over 350.000 copies. In 2016, Bryan received the honor to perform at the CMA Awards‘ 50 years celebration.
