Kim Walker-Smith is an American singer-songwriter who rose to fame after posting covers of John Mark McMillan’s song, How He Loves and of Brian Johnsons and Jon Mohr’s, Where You Go I Go which together gathered over 20 million views on YouTube.

Early Life

Kimberlee Dawn Walker was born in Albany, Oregon on December 19, 1981. Kimberlee’s family moved often which made her shy, however, found music and her love for God enlighting at 18 years old.

Career

In 2005, she won an American Idol version, called So You Want to Be a Star. The following year Kim released the album called Everything as part of the Jesus Culture band. In 2008 she made her solo debut with the LP Here Is My Song. The next years were busy with numerous albums with the band Jesus Culture like Come Away and Awakening in 2010. Three years later, Walker’s own live album arrived as Still Believe. She and her husband, Skyler released their first LP together, entitled Home. In 2014, the spouses collaborated again and issued the seasonal album, When Christmas Comes. It turned out to be her biggest success as it reached the Top 40 of Billboard’s 200 chart. After the release of Jesus’ Culture 2016 latest project, Let It Echo, Kim made a comeback with On My Side in 2017.
