Kiiara Biography

Kiara Saulters, aka Kiiara, as she is known professionally, is a singer-songwriter with an alternate electropop sound.

Early Life

Kiara Saulters was born in Wilmington, Illinois on May 24, 1995. She recorded her EP independently while simultaneously working as a clerk. In order to get more familiar with the process of recording music, she took on a studio internship.

Professional Debut

She released her first pop material as an independent artist under her original name Kiara Saulters, called “Bring Me Back” in 2013. In 2015 she signed a record deal with the major label Atlantic Records changing her name to simply Kiiara in the process. She released her first debut single “Gold”, its music video quickly garnering popularity to 5 million views in May 2016. Kiiara’s debut EP proved to be a huge turn around in style, as it shifted between electronic pop, bass heavy, and trap-rap production. “Gold” was performed for the very first time on the “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon”. It also represented Kiiara’s television debut.
