Early Life and Career Breakthrough
Kenny was born in a small town from Tennessee. He was always passionate about music and, at the age of 19, he received his first guitar. Before pursuing it professionally, he earned money by doing several small jobs. In 1995 Kenny released his debut commercial album All I Need to Know. Only one of the numerous singles actually succeeded. However, two of his following albums, No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems (2002) and When the Sun Goes Down (2004) made him a high-selling, relevant artist.
Success
In 2005, the actor married Renee Zellweger but the marriage only lasted 4 months. Furthermore, he released a new album, The Road and the Radio. The album sold almost 500.000 copies in only one week. In 2006, the country wonder released Live Those Songs Again, which got a platinum certification. One year later, the CD Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates received critical acclaim. The album’s lead single, Never Wanted Nothing More, became Kenny Chesney’s 12th number one on the Billboard country charts. For his latest album, Cosmic Hallelujah, Kenny collaborated with popular singer Pink, on the track Setting the World on Fire.
