Joey Badass Biography

Joey Badass is an American indie and street rapper that was acknowledged by joining the Pro Era collective.

Early Life

Jo-Vaughn Virginie Scott was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 20, 1995. Originally focused on acting, Jo shifted to music and rapping in high school. During this time he founded the Pro Era hip-hop collective.

Career Beginnings

His crew was signed to the Cinematic Music label in 2012. 1999 was his first solo mixtape, followed by Summer Knights in 2013. The Summer Knights EP was issued and a mixtape with Pro Era called The Secc$ Tap.e, Vol. 2 in 2014. He worked with the notorious band The Roots on Joey’s debut album B4.DA.$$ in 2015. The project was received with critical acclaim. His single called Devastated was his highest peaking song as a solo artist.

Second Album

Joey’s upcoming 2nd album will be entitled All-Amerikkkan Bada$$. He released a new single Land of the Free.
