Jacob Banks Biography

Jacob Banks is an R&B, soul and hip-hop singer-songwriter from Birmingham. He gained recognition in 2012 after winning two musical competitions. He is currently signed with Interscope Records.

The Monologue + FIFA 15

In early 2013, Banks released his debut EP, The Monologue. It spawned the single Worthy, which aired on BBC Radio 1 and featured in the TV series Suits. Gaining some exposure, he performed as an opening act for Emeli Sande and collaborated with Chase and Status on their song Alive. Furthermore, he toured with them in the UK, for the Brand New Machine tour. Additionally, he released a joint EP with a couple of local artists, titled, Gambling Man. Notably, in 2015 he released another single, Move With You, which was included in EA Sports’ FIFA 15.

The Paradox + The Boy Who Cried Freedom

In the summer of 2015, Jacob Banks came out with his second EP, The Paradox. It spawned the single Monster, featuring Avelino (from Odd Child Recordings). Notably, in 2016 he collaborated with Seeb on their single What Do You Love, which peaked at number 2 in Norway and 21 in Sweden. Moreover, one year later the British artist released his fourth single, Unholy War, which appears on the season finale of The Blacklist: Redemption. It precedes Jabos’ upcoming EP, The Boy Who Cried Freedom.
