Imagine Dragons Biography
Imagine Dragons are a Grammy-winner American rock band with hits that echoed through the music world with their original tunes.
Early Years
The band members declared the name Imagine Dragons is an anagram for a phrase only known to them. Most possible fan theories are the anagrams for “Go sing in a dream” and “Ragged insomnia” but it also believed that the anagram story is just a joke.
Freshly moved to Las Vegas, Imagine Dragons released the EP’s Imagine Dragons (2010), Hell and Silence (2010), and It’s time (2011). On 2012’s Valentine’s Day the band issued the EP Continued Silence that got on the Billboard 200 and the follow-up EP was called Hear Me.
“We’re an atypical band”
Their debut album, Night Visions reached No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative and Rock Album charts and top 10 in several countries, selling over 80,000 copies in its first weeks. The album’s second single, “Radioactive” has become a rock anthem in short time. It was number one on the Hot Rock Songs chart for 23 weeks. It was declared by Rolling Stone “the biggest rock hit of the year“. Having a diverse sound, Imagine Dragons topped the rock charts with “Radioactive” and the pop charts with the single “Demons”.
They released their album Smoke + Mirrors on February 17, 2015. It featured songs like “I’m So Sorry”, “Gold” and “I Bet My Life”. The teasing for the third album began in the fall of 2016 and the band already issued its lead single,”Believer”. Ahead of its album, the single is a critically acclaimed tune and was featured as part of the Super Bowl ad.
