Hurts Biography

Hurts is enclosing the members Adam Anderson (synthesist) and Theo Hutchcraft (singer).

Early Career

The two Hurts members met for the first time at a party in Manchester. Their first band contained five people and was called Bureau. After this project died, only the two of them founded the band Daggers.

Hurts

The Daggers period lasted only two years. With a new found sound, they called themselves Hurts. Adam and Theo released on Youtube the music video for “Wonderful Life”. After going viral, they signed a contract with Sony subsidiary RCA Records.

In the fall of 2010, Hurts issued their debut album Happiness. It went on to number four in the UK Albums chart. Their second album Exile (2013) had the lead single “Miracle”. In 2015, the boys issued their new single “Some Kind of Heaven” and the album Surrender was brought to life later that year.

During their career, Anderson and Hutchcraft collaborated with artists like Elton John and Bryan Adams and toured with Scissor Sisters and Kylie Minogue.
