Hunter Hayes Biography

Hunter Easton Hayes was born on 9 September 1991. He was keen on music from an early age. Hayes appeared in numerous kids and musical shows. When he was seven, he was even invited to perform at the White House.

Early Career

After moving to Nashville, Hayes started his work as a singer and songwriter. He issued his self-titled debut album in 2011. Hunter reached number one on the Hot Country Songs chart with the single “Wanted”. He broke the record for the youngest artist to peak at number one on this chart, set by Johnny Rodriguez. At the beginning of his career, he collaborated and toured with artists like Taylor Swift, Victoria Justice and Rascal Flatts.

Country Star

Billboard asked Hayes about a surprise concert he held. He declared that “I love surprise shows. They have such a great energy and spirit. You get to go to a whole other different level of communication with everybody. It’s a unique vibe, one that we don’t get to do a whole lot. I jumped at the chance. You go in with a set list, but you listen to the fans and go with the room. It was an incredible night.

He toured with Carrie Underwood in 2012 and he was nominated for three Grammy Awards in 2013. Haye’s second album saw the light of day in 2014. Storyline received a 4/5 stars rating from Allmusic and a score of 80/100 on Metacritic. Hunter’s third album was titled The 21 Project (2015).
