Highly Suspect Biography

Highly Suspect is an American rock trio, from Massachusetts, formed by the Meyer twin brothers (bass, drums) and their friend, Stevens (vocals, guitar). The group earned 2 Grammy nominations after releasing their debut album, Mister Asylum, in 2015. Furthermore, they released a second album, The Boy Who Died Wolf, in 2016. It spawned the number 1 single My Name Is Human.

Early Years

Highly Suspect was formed in 2009, initially as a cover band, by a group of high school friends. The trio used to play songs by Sublime, Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd, at local bars and small tours. Between their formation and 2013, Highly Suspect released 4 EPs, First Offence, The Gang Lion, The Worst Humans, Black Ocean. Additionally, their self-titled compilation album came out in 2011, including previous songs like Not Me, Gang Lion, Big Bear and Then Mickey. In early 2015, the band toured the US with consecrated rock stars such as Deftones or Halestorm.

Mister Asylum – The Boy Who Died Wolf

Later in 2015, Highly Suspect released their debut studio album, Mister Asylum, peaking at number 2 on the US Top Hard Rock Albums.It spawned two singles, Lydia and Bloodfeather, which reached numbers 4 and 5 respectively, on the Mainstream Rock Songs chart. Moreover, the trio made it into iTunes’ 2015 New Artist Spotlight. In 2016, the band came out with their second album, The Boy Who Died Wolf. The record topped the Alternative Albums chart. It generated 4 singles, most noteworthy the Grammy-nominated My Name Is Human.
