Haim is an American pop rock band from Los Angeles
Haim Biography
Haim is currently enclosing the sisters Este Haim, Danielle Haim, and Alana Haim and the concert drummer Dash Hutton.
Early Years
Their parents were very keen on music and the girls grew up in a musical environment. They formed their own band and played for free at churches, schools and hospitals.
The Strokes’ lead vocalist recruited Danielle for his solo tour. The Haim sister played the guitar for Casablancas and after that, for Scarlet Fever.
After these experiences, Danielle returned to the sister band. Haim issued the EP Forever in 2012. One year later, Days Are Gone, their debut studio album saw the light of day. They re-issued their single “My Song 5”, now featuring A$AP Ferg.
Recognition
They performed at Saturday Night Live and toured with artists like Rihanna and Taylor Swift. A milestone for a young band, the girl group recorded a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Rhiannon” together with Stevie Nicks, the legendary Fleetwood member. The Haim’s second album should appear in the summer of 2017.
Alana Haim, in a 2014 interview with Telegraph: “We are so new to people even wanting us to be in their magazines. We have always been into fashion – music and fashion go hand-in-hand. But there are so many fashions out there and I think we have just learnt what we love and we don’t love. It is all a learning process. ”
