Fetty Wap Biography

Fetty Wap is a rapper from the US known for his hit track “Trap Queen”.

Early Life

Willie Maxwell II was born on June 7, 1991, in Paterson, New Jersey. He decided he wanted to make music in 2013. Although born with glaucoma in both eyes, one of which was saved, Fetty still managed to be successful in his pursuits.

Career Beginnings and Success

Fetty Wap, acquired this nickname because of his ease to make money. One year later his debut single Trap Queen gained success, reaching platinum certification. As a consequence, he was signed to 300 Entertainment the same year. The second single that had an entry on Billboard’s top 10 was My Way and later, 679. Adding the single Again to that list, Fetty became the first rapper to have four spots in top 10, at the same time, in 26 years. In addition, the self-titled debut album debuted at number 1 on Billboard. He was nominated for 2 Grammy Awards.

Present

Following the release of his first album he also released 2 digital mixtapes: Coke Zoo and ZOO 16: The Mixtape. Next to music, he ventured into different businesses. He is set to release a mobile racing game that has partnerships with renowned car brands. In 2016 he revealed another mixtape entitled Zoovier.  Recently he has released a variety of singles such as: Way You Are and Flip Phone.
