dvsn is a Canadian R&B duo, composed by Daniel Daley and Nineteen85, signed to Drake’s OVO Sound. They started gaining recognition when their single “With Me” was played on Apple’s “Beats 1 radio”, single which eventually ended up on their debut album “Sept. 5th”.
2015
The mysterious Toronto-based duo, pronounced “division”, made their debut in the fall of 2015, with the songs “The Line and “With Me”. Later, in December, the artists came out with “Too Deep” and “Hallucinations“, both available on SoundCloud and iTunes. In early 2016, dvsn signed with OVO Sound.
2016
The duo gained, even more, popularity, after producer Nineteen85 played their two debut songs, on the eighth OVO Sound Radio tracklist. dvsn released their debut album, “Sept. 5th” in March/April 2016. It reached number 7 on the US R&B Albums chart. Additionally, they featured on Drake’s fourth studio album, on the song “Faithful”. Moreover, the Canadian duo performed live for the first time at The Fader Fort presented by Converse as part of SXSW Music Festival.
