David Guetta is a French DJ, music producer and singer-songwriter who conquered the American charts by producing and collaborating with big names like Usher and Nicki Minaj. He achieved recognition with his album “One Love” which featured the hit singles “When Love Takes Over”, “Sexy Bitch”, “Gettin’ Over You” and “Memories”.

Childhood & Early Life

David Guetta was born on November 7, 1967 in Paris, France to a Moroccan Jewish father and a Belgian mother. Guetta discovered his passion for music from an early age. At 17 he was already working as a DJ at the Broad Club in Paris. After that, Guetta began hosting his own club nights all over town.

International Breakthrough

David Guetta’s first single, “Just A Little More Love”, featuring American singer Chris Willis was released in 2001. In 2002, Guetta released his debut album “Just A Little More Love” on Virgin Records. Most of the tracks featured vocals from Chris Willis. His second album, “Guetta Blaster” was released on 7 June 2004. Chris Willis and Stereo MCs were featured on the album. Later on, in 2007, a new album was released. “Pop Life”, Guetta’s third album, included hit singles “Baby When The Light” and “Love Is Gone” which reached Top Ten in the UK David Guetta achieved international success in 2009 with his single “When Love Takes Over” featuring Kelly Rowland.
