Cash Cash is an American electronic music trio from Roseland. Its members are DJs Jean Paul Makhlouf, Alex Makhlouf, and Samuel Frisch. They are mostly known for the hit single “Take Me Home” featuring Bebe Rexha. Additionally, they remixed numerous hits from artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, and Icona Pop.
Early Years
Jean Paul Makhlouf and Sam Frisch initially formed a duo named The Consequence, in 2002. Alexander Makhlouf joined in 2008, therefore Cash Cash was born. The name was chosen due to lack of rights for the previous name and legal issues. “We should just name this group ‘Cash Cash’ because everyone is after our cash, and we don’t have any yet”, commented Jean Paul. They debuted with an eponymous EP, which peaked at number 24 and led to a contract with Universal. Cash Cash’s first album, “Take It to the Floor”, came out in late 2008.

In 2012, the group released “The Beat Goes On”, which spawned a tribute single, “Michael Jackson”. Both the second and third album only charted in Japan
Breakthrough & Success
In 2013, the trio signed with Big Beat Records and Atlantic Records. In the summer of the same year, “Take Me Home”, with Bebe Rexha, came out to immense acclaim. The song peaked at number 5 in the UK and went Platinum in the US. Following up on that success, Cash Cash released two more EPs, “Overtime” (2013) and “Lightning” (2014). In 2015, they came out with the single “Devil”,
featuring Busta Rhymes, B.o.B and Neon Hitch. In 2016, the trio released 3 singles, notably “Millionaire”, which peaked at number 25 in the UK and number 22 on the US Dance/Electronic Songs chart. Finally, the album “Blood, Sweat & 3 Years” came out, reaching top 3 on the US Dance/Electronic Albums. In 2017 they released “Matches“, featuring Rozes.
