Life & Influences
Billie was born in Los Angeles. She grew up in an artistic household, with the music of indie-pop artists such as Lana Del Rey but also musicians like Tyler the Creator. The various influences fused into the young singer’s unique style. Her voice shows an interesting blend of powerful emotions and indifference. Billie developed an interest in music when she was 8. She performed in Los Angeles Children’s Chorus and, by the time she reached the age of 14, she began creating her own songs.

In 2015, Billie released three singles, “She’s Broken”, “Fingers Crossed”, and, most noteworthy, Ocean Eyes. The latter became extremely popular online and amazed the world with the young electropop singer’s maturity. Furthermore, she came out with a cover of Frank Ocean’s “Thinkin’ Bout You”. In 2016, she released another single, titled “Six Feet Under”. Her latest single, 2017’s “Bellyache”, depicts a story from the eyes of a serial killer struggling with guilt. Idolator declared the song a “sinister synth-anthem that positively seethes fury and frustration”.
