Early Life
Austin Harris Mahone was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 4, 1996, and raised by his mother. He went to Lady Bird Johnson High School but resumed to homeschooling.

In 2010, Mahone began posting videos of himself singing on YouTube and by 2011 he had built a following. He independently released the debut single 11:11 followed by a Japanese release EP, called Extended Play.
Rising Success
The next year he was signed to Chase/Universal Republic Records and issued the single Say You’re Just a Friend featured by Flo Rida. In 2013, Austin’s music video for What About Love won the MTV Music Award for MTV’s Artists to Watch. Mahone was invited to open for Taylor Swift’s Red Tour. He embarked on his first own tour called, MTV’s Artist to Watch Tour. After the release of his second EP The Secret, he went on another tour titled, Austin Mahone: Live on Tour. From 2014 and 2015, he released free material on his SoundCloud page such as Say My Name, Places, Waiting For This Love, Someone Like You and Torture. Dirty Work was released as the lead single from his upcoming album. Before the new LP, he revealed the mixtape titled This Is Not The Album. Austin also joined T.I. and Pia Mia to support Jason Derulo’s tour. ForMe+You was another mixtape released in 2016 with Lady as the lead single.
