Aurora Biography
Born Aurora Aksnes on 15 June 1996, she grew up in Norway and developed a love for music from an early age.
Early Years
Aurora debuted in the musical world with the songs “Puppet” and “Awakening”. Her fresh sound got her signed to Glassnote Records and Decca Records.
Future releases such as “Under Stars” and “Runaway” made her noticed. The tremendous success of the latter single was topped by the attention she received for the next single, “Running with the Wolves”. After performing at festivals like Way Out West and Green Man Festival, she supported Of Monsters and Men at a concert.
Further Career
The long awaited debut album of the Norwegian artist appeared in 2016. Titled All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend, it received a score of 80/100 on Metacritic. Next for Aurora were appearances on Conan’s and Jimmy Fallon’s shows.
So far she teased her next album with the single “I Went Too Far”. Aurora features in the movie Alien: Covenant with her version of the iconic Nat King Cole song “Nature Boy” and also on the soundtrack of the video game Mass Effect: Andromeda with the single “Under Stars”.
