Andrew Rayel is a DJ and record producer from the Republic of Moldova, mostly known for his collaboration with Dutch DJ Armin van Buuren.
Early Life
Andrei Rață was born in Călărași, Moldova, on 21 July 1992. He enjoyed studying music at 13, started making music at 17 but became more serious about it at 21.
Career Beginnings
Andrew’s success arrived when he was signed to the renowned DJ Armin van Buuren’s record label Armada Music. This came about as his single Aether was voted as Tune of the Week on Buuren’s radio show, A State of Trance. Rayel performed as a DJ on major festivals and live shows like From Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, Stereosonic and Electric Daisy Carnival. Thanks to the growing popularity his tracks were played by other prestigious DJ’s like Tiësto, W&W, Dash Berlin and Hardwell.
Rising Success
In 2012, Andrew was ranked as DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs at number 77, reaching 28 spot in 2013 and 24 spot in 2014. Mystery of Aether was revealed as Rayel’s first compilation with appearances from van Buuren, Ørjan Nilsen, Airbase and W&W and others. The project included new songs and remixes performed by Andrew. Find Your Harmony was Rayel’s first official album released in 2014. The following period was busy with tours and recording sessions for his next album. Moments was released on May 5th, 2017 along with the lead single I’ll Be There featured by Eric Lumiere. The LP will be supported by a worldwide tour.
