Alesso Biography

Swedish-born DJ Alesso is a record producer, musician, and one the best DJs at the moment. He has worked with Madonna, Calvin Harris, and David Guetta.

Early Life

Descent from Swedish and Italian ancestors, Alessandro Lindblad was born in Stockholm, Sweden on July 1, 1991. As a 6-year-old he started playing piano but at 16 he found a passion for EDM.

EDM Career and Success

Alesso found success with his self-titled EP in 2010. He was further mentored into DJ-ing by Sebastian Ingrosso, a member of “Swedish House Mafia”. Although a rookie he was listed on the DJ Magazine’s top 100 DJs. His remix of Nadia Ali’s “Pressure” was one of the most played EDM tracks of 2011. In 2012, he was invited to join Madonna on her “MDNA World Tour” for a few European sets. He managed to get from spot 70 to spot 20 in the top 100 DJs list. In 2013 he performed at several festivals including Coachella. He was nominated for a Grammy for the remix of OneRepublic’s “If I Lose Myself”. Alesso became the second EDM artist to be signed to Def Jam in 2014. His debut album “Forever” was released in 2015 with singles like “Heroes (We Could Be)” and “Tear the Roof Up”. He released a new single “Falling” in February 2017.
