Professionally known as Afrojack, this Dutch DJ and music producer is regarded as one of the top 10 best DJs in the world.

Early Life

Nick van de Wall was born on September 8, 1987, in Spijkenisse, Netherlands and also has Surinamese descent. By age 5 he already knew how to play piano and after 1 year of studying graphic design, he decided to be a DJ and producer.

DJ Career and Success

Afrojack received worldwide success with “Take Over Control” featured by Eva Simons, charting in 10 countries. The “Lost & Found” EP was released in 2010. He worked on Beyonce’s single “Run the World (Girls)” as well as with Madonna and David Guetta. “The Spark” single was at the top 10 in more than 7 countries. He performed as the headline act to several EDM festivals, Coachella included. According to Forbes, Afrojack was the highest-paid DJ in 2013. In 2011, 2012 and 2013 he was listed at the top 10 DJs list by DJ Magazine. “Forget the World” the debut album was released in 2014. In 2015 he was featured on the summer hit “Hey Mama” along with Nicki Minaj and Bebe Rexha.
