Jeremih Biography

Jeremih is an American singer-songwriter, rapper, and producer from Chicago.

Early Life

Jeremy Felton was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 17, 1987. A self-taught musician, he learned to play saxophone, bass drum and piano starting at age 3. A highly gifted student he began college at just 16 years old.

Career Beginnings

Jeremih met producer Mick Schultz while in college. They started working on his debut album Jeremih. The LP was released in 2009 under Def Jam. 

Success

Birthday Sex, the slow main single reached number 1 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop and at top 10 on Hot 100. The club track hit Down on Me was released as the main single from the All About You  2010 album. Plans for a third album were made but were delayed. Meanwhile, Jeremih revealed the appreciated EP Late Nights with Jeremih. Don’t Tell ‘Em was a pop hit as it reached top 10. The LP Later That Night was finally issued in 2015. The album featured guests like J. Cole, Future, and Ty Dolla $ign.
