Kelsea Ballerini is a Grammy nominated country-pop singer and the only country artist to have the first 3 singles from a debut album at number 1.

Early Life

Although born in Mascot, Tennessee, September 12, 1993, Kelsea was raised in Knoxville. Just like all aspiring artists she started taking dance lessons at 3 years of age, sang in school and church choirs and wrote her first song at 12.

Professional Debut and Success

19-year-old Kelsea was signed to Black River Entertainment. She released her first debut single “Love Me Like You Mean It” in 2014 and it reached number 1 on the Country Airplay chart. Further on, she revealed a self-titled EP in November of the same year. “Love Me Like You Mean It” was a number 1 hit on the Billboard Country chart, making Kelsea the first country singer to reach that spot with a debut single. “Dibs”, the second single reached the top as well as her third single “Peter Pan”. In 2015, she released her first album “The First Time”.
