Bryson Tiller is an American contemporary R&B singer-songwriter and a self-proclaimed “trap soul” artist.
Early Life
Bryson Djuan Tiller was born January 2, 1993, in Louisville, Kentucky. Raised by his grandmother he started singing and rapping at 15.
“T R A P S O U L”
He started off his career with the 2011, 21-song mixtape “Killer Instinct Vol.1”. Initially released on SoundCloud, in 2014, the “Don’t” single received major internet attention. As a result, it was commercially revealed again in 2015 reaching number 13 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Tiller received recognition from top names like producer Timbaland and rapper Drake, thus getting him a record deal with RCA Records. The same year, Bryson released his first album “Trapsoul” stylized as “T R A P S O U L” ultimately reaching number 8 on Billboard 200 in the US. “T R A P S O U L” was considered by a number of publications as one of the best albums of 2015.
Growing Success
In 2016, Tiller made his TV debut on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” with a rendition of the “Exchange” single. During that summer he received the “Best New Artist” and “Best Male R&B/Pop Artist” awards at BET. His upcoming album will be released as “True to Self”.
