Rich Chigga Biography

Rich Chigga is an Indonesian hip hop recording artist and comedian from Jakarta. He first started posting some dark comedy videos and soon moved on to rapping. Rich Chigga is best known for his 2016 single “Dat Stick”, which reached number 4 on the US Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles.

Early Life

Rich Chigga, by his real name Brian Imanuel, was born in 1999, in DKI Jakarta, Indonesia. In 2010, while he was still a child, he began posting his videos on social media and became viral. He used to make fun of American popular culture and learned to speak English by himself. He grew up with the music of Childish Gambino, 2 Chainz, Macklemore and Tyler, The Creator.

Career

The young rapper released his debut song “Living the Dream” in the summer of 2015, on Youtube. His breakthrough occurred one year later, with his first single “Dat $tick” which became immensely popular due to a reaction video featuring Ghostface Killah, 21 Savage, Tory Lanez, MadeinTYO, Desiigner and other artists. Furthermore, he released 2 new singles during that year, “Who Dat Be” and. “Seventeen”. The latter was a major hit on Soundcloud. In 2017 he came out with “Back At It” and “Gospel”, featuring Keith Ape and XXXTentacion.
