Majid Jordan Biography

Majid Jordan is a Canadian R&B duo who joined the Canadian rapper Drake on the hit single Hold On, We’re Going Home.

Early Formation

Majid Jordan consists of Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman who met at a bar and started working together after a week. They released the first single, Hold Tight on SoundCloud.

Career Beginnings

In 2013 they released the first EP After Hours under the name Good People. The project got the attention of producer Noah “40” Shebib who eventually got them signed to Drake’s OVO Sound record label. The duo was featured on Drake’s track Hold On, We’re Going Home from the album Nothing Was the Same reaching on Billboard’s Top Five.

Success

The song was a hit in countries like Canada, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Under the new moniker, Majid Jordan released the EP A Place Like This in 2014 and the singles My Love and Something About You in 2015. The following year they released the self-titled album which was promoted through the single My Love featured by Drake. It was number 20 in Canada and number 69 in the US. The same year, the duo embarked on their first US tour.
