Olivia Holt Biography

Olivia Hastings Holt is an American singer and actress. She rose to fame starring in Disney‘s Kickin’ It series before releasing her first EP, Olivia, in 2016.

Early Life & Television Career

Olivia Holt was born in Germantown, Tennesse, in 1997. When she was three, she moved with her family to Nesbit, Mississippi. During her childhood, she took gymnastics classes, for seven years. In 2011, she moved with her family again, this time to Los Angeles. She first pursued an acting career, appearing in local theatre productions and commercials. In 2011 she was cast in the martial arts comedy Kickin’ It and, subsequently, in another Disney Channel production, I Didn’t Do It. Most recently, she joined the cast of Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger, due for 2018.

Music Career

In 2012, Olivia recorded three tracks for the movie Girl vs Monster, additionally winning a Radio Disney Music Award in 2013. Furthermore, she covered Winter Wonderland for the Disney Channel Holiday Playlist and Carry On for Disneynature’s 2014 film Bears. In 2016, the young singer released her debut single, Phoenix. Her next single, History, charted in a few European countries. Her self-titled EP came out in the summer of the same year, peaking at number 19 on the US Heatseekers chart.
