Early Life
Kacy Anne Hill was born in Phoenix, Arizona on May 1, 1994. As many aspiring singers, she was influenced by music early on. Hill learned how to play the oboe and saxophone and was singing in a choir.
Career Beginnings
At age 16, Kacy Hill began modeling and moved to Los Angeles in order to pursue a career. As a result, she managed to become the face of American Apparel. Not really interested in modeling, she took the opportunity of becoming a singer instead. Director and photographer, Stephen Garnett further introduced her to various producers.
Music
Kacy released a debut single called Experience which caught the attention of rapper Kanye West. Stephen Garnett stepped in again and helped her shot a music video for the song. During that time Kacy also happened to be one of Kanye’s backup dancer on his Yeezus tour. After he was provided with a copy of the song, West immediately signed her to his own record label, G.O.O.D. Music. In 2015, the song was officially released as part of the Kitsuné America 4 compilation album. The track managed to received international attention and good reviews from music magazines. Hill began writing more songs thanks to the success and released the EP Bloo the same year. Hard to Love was issued as the second single. She is set to release an album in 2017, which was finished in December 2016.
