Dillon Hart Francis is an American DJ, producer, composer, musician and comedian. He rose to fame in 2014, with his platinum-certified single Get Low, featuring DJ Snake, peaking at number 5 on the US Dance chart. During his career, he created popular remixes for numerous major hits. His type of music is called moombahton.
Early Life & Career.
Francis was born in 1987 in Los Angeles, California. Francis was very quiet and sheltered during his childhood. He first gained recognition upon being discovered by Diplo. After a few remixes, he released his debut EP Swashbuckler, in 2010. In 2012, he came out with two popular singles, “I.D.G.A.F.O.S.” and “Bootleg Fireworks (Burning Up)”. Moreover, his second EP, Something, Something, Awesome topped the Beatport chart. Additionally, he toured with Nero and Flux Pavillion. In 2013, he peaked at number 37 on the US Dance chart with the single, “Without You”, featuring Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. Furthermore, he made it into DJ Mag’s Top 100 poll, at number 73.
Debut Album & Recent Years
In February 2014, he released the acclaimed single “Get Low, with Dj Snake. The song reached number 64 on the Billboard 200 and created a lot of exposure for the young DJ. Following up on that success, Dillon Francis released his debut album, “‘Money Sucks, Friends Rule”. The record generated six more singles. notably “Set Me Free”, featuring Martin Garrix. In 2015, after intense touring, Dillon released another EP, “This Mixtape Is Fire”, featuring collaborations with the likes of Skrillex and Calvin Harris. In 2016 he released three singles: “Need You”, with NGHTMRE, “Candy”, with Snappy Jit and “Anywhere”, with Will Heard.
